Training in 3 modules

Training and further education

Training in equine-assisted process support

Our in-depth experience from seminars, coaching sessions and therapeutic processes enables us to train people to create a space of growth that is supported by trust, openness, compassion, friends, security and authenticity. Graduate meetings and group supervisions support a mutual exchange of experiences and the further development of equine-assisted process support.

We have both been involved in equine-assisted coaching and equine-assisted therapy for over 15 years now and can look back on a broad and very differentiated wealth of experience in this healing work.

Depth and sustainability

The training to become an equine-assisted process facilitator consists of 3 modules and supervision sessions and can be completed in approx. 1.5 years. Participation in the first module(basic training) is a prerequisite for module two (train the trainer) and module three (equine-assisted trauma therapy). Modules 2 and 3 can be completed optionally.

The first module is the basic training to become an equine-assisted coach, which includes elements of coaching and therapy, because our experience is that pure coaching falls short and the depth of therapy is needed to initiate healing and sustainable transformative processes. The basic training to become an Equine Assisted Coach lasts 6 days and consists mainly of self-awareness, practical exercises and theory. After these 6 days of basic training, you will be able to offer horse-assisted coaching to people and support them in their processes. We have trained over 150 people in recent years, of whom around 90% have started to offer this work after our basic training or have incorporated it in some way into their original healing, educational or spiritual work.

Here you can find out more about the basic training to become an Equine Assisted Coach.

We call the second module “Train the Trainer” as it is aimed at people who want to learn how to effectively accompany people, groups, teams or managers in change and development processes. Exercises from the basic training are deepened and the sometimes challenging phenomenon of group dynamic processes is dealt with in detail and skills are taught that enable graduates to “hold” more intense emotional situations in groups. Once again, the focus is on the depth of people’s experience rather than a short-term solution to “problems”.

Here you will find a detailed description of “Train the Trainer”.

The third module is further training in equine-assisted trauma therapy. This is about how horses can support people in dealing with trauma in an empowered way.

We want to provide people from the healing and educational professions with opportunities to offer a non-judgemental, extremely attentive, supportive and stabilizing space for people who want to process their painful experiences and grow beyond them. In this expectation-free framework, everything is allowed to unfold at the client’s pace. In this way, opening, change and healing can occur because people confide in each other and feel seen and safe.

As in all of our training modules, this training is primarily about self-awareness. To the extent that we as process facilitators develop our ability to care for our needs, strengthen our ability to relate, be in touch with our body and our experience or remain present and open even in the most intense emotional states, the more we can also help other people to enter these spaces.

Our equine-assisted trauma therapy aims to create a space that creates safety and trust and thus opens the doors to healing. To this end, we offer carefully selected exercises and a sound overview of the theoretical foundations of trauma therapy.

Here you will find the detailed description of the training in equine-assisted trauma therapy.

Modules 2 and 3 are offered exclusively to graduates of the basic training to become an Equine Assisted Coach and are optional.
